PJM Market Operator

Summary

The APX Market Operator is a full-time client service specialist responsible for facilitating wholesale electricity transactions across multiple regions. The role involves 24/7 real-time operations, monitoring client portfolios, escalating system emergencies, assisting with internal testing, maintaining operational documentation, and daily reporting on market activities.

Requirements

• PJM operations certification/experience
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business or technical field
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to react to quickly changing priorities and strict deadlines
• Strong analytic skills
• High level of attention to detail
• Ability to work rotating shift work, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
• Knowledge of using ISO systems for outage reporting, scheduling and dispatching

Responsibilities

• Support all clients including, but not limited to: Resource Management (Dispatch, Outage, 24/7 Agent), Transaction Management (Day-Ahead/Real-Time Scheduling), Helpdesk support for MarketSuite, APX System/Infrastructure and Market Knowledge, NERC E-Tag Monitoring and Adjustments
• Monitor all serviced client portfolios and ensure valid submissions prior to Market Deadlines
• Escalate and address all System Emergencies in-line with Operating Procedures
• Assist with internal system testing
• Maintenance and Development of Operational Documentation
• Daily Reporting on market and client activities

Benefits

Compensation in the following regions is expected to be as follows: California: Compensation is expected to be between $75,000 and $90,000, NYC: Compensation is expected to be between $80,000 and $90,000, Colorado: Compensation is expected to be between $75,000 and $85,000, Washington State: Compensation is expected to be between $78,000 and $90,000
