Platform Engineer

Summary

Join Constructor, a leading search and product discovery platform for enterprise ecommerce, as a Platform Engineer in the Platform Solutions team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing custom platform services to ensure the company's systems are resilient, secure, and performant. You will collaborate with engineers across the organization to deliver cutting-edge infrastructure solutions that align with business needs and support the growth of the platform. This role requires proficiency in at least one programming language, hands-on experience with AWS services, familiarity with cloud-native system design best practices, and experience with infrastructure-as-code tools. You will also need to have an understanding of CI/CD pipelines, containerization and orchestration tools, networking concepts, security, distributed systems, and web concepts and security.

Requirements

• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Go (preferred), Java, Python, C# or similar
• Hands-on experience with AWS services (e.g., ECS, DynamoDB, S3, Lambda, SQS)
• Familiarity with cloud-native system design best practices
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools like CloudFormation (preferred), Terraform or Pulumi
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools such as GitHub Actions, or CircleCI
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, ECS)
• Knowledge of networking concepts, security, and distributed systems
• Understanding of web concepts and security, including OAuth, SAML, CORS, Cookies, and HTTP security
