Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on platform or infrastructure development
  • Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript, with hands-on experience building developer tools or frameworks
  • Familiarity with modern JavaScript ecosystems, including build tools (e.g., Webpack, esbuild, Vite), package managers (e.g., pnpm, npm, Yarn), and testing frameworks
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (e.g., Docker), and orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes)
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Pulumi)
  • Background with scaling and migrating systems in a changing environment that allows for little to no downtime

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain developer tooling, libraries, and frameworks using JavaScript and TypeScript
  • Design and implement scalable infrastructure solutions to support development pipelines and CI/CD workflows
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize developer workflows and build tools for code quality, testing, and deployment
  • Monitor and improve the performance, reliability, and security of our platform and tooling systems
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in platform engineering and JavaScript/TypeScript ecosystems

Preferred Qualifications

  • Comfortable working within unfamiliar architectures to debug service impacting issues
  • Experience with observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry
  • Familiarity with monorepo strategies and tools like Nx or Lerna or pnpm
  • Proficient knowledge about in-browser JavaScript, the JavaScript ecosystem, and the browser privacy and security landscape
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture and API design principles
  • Previous experience contributing to open-source projects or communities
