Platform Engineer Cloud

Summary

Join TIMOCOM as a Platform Engineer and work in an eight-member team, focusing on platform cloud solutions. Enjoy the flexibility of 100% remote work or utilize the TEAMocom Spaces. You will be responsible for deploying and operating various platform services using the Platform Engineering approach, developing and maintaining the internal Kubernetes-based platform, and implementing, operating, and improving CI/CD pipelines. Leverage Infrastructure-as-Code (IAC) tools like Terraform and handle monitoring and incident management in the platform's cloud infrastructure. Collaborate closely with architects and application managers. This role offers opportunities to explore new technologies and cloud services.

Requirements

• Bring several years of professional experience in development with Terraform and Kubernetes
• Have very good English skills (from C1) or German skills (from C1) to communicate well in your team
• Have a high level of quality awareness - especially with regard to clean code, usability, Terraform state drifts, DRY code, and functioning CI/CD
• Have in-depth knowledge in the use of hyperscalers (Azure preferred), Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring with Grafana & Prometheus
• Have an interest in further training in the area of cloud & multitenancy architecture and GitOps
• Be characterized by your strong problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for the provision and operation of various platform services according to the platform engineering approach
• Develop the internal Kubernetes-based platform further and ensure maintenance and operation
• Be responsible for the implementation, operation, and improvement of CI/CD pipelines for efficient and automated software provisioning
• Use Infrastructure-as-Code (IAC) tools such as Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and configuration
• Operate monitoring and incident management in the cloud infrastructure of the platform
• Discover and test new technologies and (cloud) services
• Work closely with our architects and application managers on the development, deployment, and operation of applications
