Platform Engineer-Backend Developer

Summary

Join Deel's growing DevEx team and contribute to the development and improvement of Giger, our internal developer tool. This role requires extensive experience with Node.js or similar languages, Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, and cloud technologies. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, participate in all stages of the software development lifecycle, and ensure a positive customer experience. The ideal candidate is a hands-on troubleshooter ready for challenges and possesses strong communication and problem-solving skills. Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with Node.js or any other language
• Solid Kubernetes, Helm and Docker experience is a must (minimum 2+ yrs required)
• General AWS or similar cloud experience
• Experience with Postgres/Mysql, RabbitMq/Nats/Kafka
• Strong system design and problem solving skills, we often deal with the “unknown”
• Experience building complex CI/CD pipelines, we use Github Actions and ArgoCD
• Experience in building observability toolchain: logs, metrics
• Strong communication skills, we often need to orchestrate projects across 20+ teams
• You are hands-on troubleshooter
• You are ready for challenges

Responsibilities

• Be a part of a truly cross-functional team; Frontend Engineers, Product Teams, Designers and QA’s
• Participate in product planning (From discovery all the way to deployment); We want your input at all stages of the Software Development Lifecycle!
• Collaborate! Our teams work together to develop robust new features, API’s, continuously improve our industry-leading products and find and fix any bugs at Deel Speed
• Ensure our customers receive a white-glove experience with our products!

Preferred Qualifications

• Have experience building internal tooling: npm packages, frameworks
• Have past experience in DevEx or Platform teams
