Summary
Join LanguageWire as a Platform Security Engineer and collaborate with software, DevOps, and QA engineers to build and secure cloud infrastructure and services. You will champion DevSecOps practices, define security metrics, and work with SREs on infrastructure and cloud security. Responsibilities include owning tools and processes for a secure development lifecycle, interfacing with customer cybersecurity experts, and supporting compliance efforts. Success will be measured by improved security posture, a strong DevSecOps mindset within dev teams, and successful customer interactions. Requirements
- 5+ years of security engineering experience
- Solid understanding of what it takes to build and operate secure systems at scale
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code and using automation tools like Terraform
- Experience with cloud environments (e.g. Azure or GCP), container deployments using Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience maintaining and improving security processes to engineering teams
- Comfortable explaining security topics to engineers and cybersecurity experts, both internal and external
Responsibilities
- Owning the tools and processes to ensure LanguageWireโs secure development lifecycle
- Identifying areas that can improve our cloud security and engineering solutions to improve our security posture
- Defining and setting up security metrics and tools to implement a data-driven cybersecurity culture
- Working closely with our SREs on Infrastructure & Cloud Security
- Working closely with our dev teams to incorporate strong security controls, apply security best practices and mitigate risks and vulnerabilities as part of our secure software development life cycle
- Interfacing with cybersecurity experts on the customer side (e.g., Security engineers, Infosec managers, CISOs) answering all questions related to cybersecurity measures and flows in our Product Suite
- Supporting our compliance management team with the technical, security-related aspects of certifications like ISO27001 and TISAX
Preferred Qualifications
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate or Cybersecurity Architect Expert
- Experience with microservices
- Experience building authentication & authorization systems (OAuth2, OIDC, ABAC, RBAC, ReBAC, etc.)
- Are an effective communicator which provides clarity on technical initiatives and ensures engagement from the dev teams
- Are passionate about building secure, reliable, and scalable distributed systems in collaboration with multiple teams
- Are curious, inquisitive, and proactive
