Summary
Join MicroHealth as a Power BI Developer and become an active member of a remote scrum team. Collaborate with data engineers, architects, and scientists to define backend requirements for data products. Work with internal and external customers to develop an analytics portfolio. Design and code high-quality deliverables, produce timely results, and support solutions in MS PowerApps. Utilize advanced data visualization techniques to derive insights from large datasets, build reports and dashboards, and transform complex data into actionable business intelligence. This role requires strong SQL skills and a deep understanding of database capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
- Minimum 10 years of experience in software development
- An additional 8 years of technical experience may be substituted for the education requirement (total 18 years’ experience)
- Proficient in Power BI for data visualization and dashboard creation
- Proficient in PowerApps for application development and support
- Proficient in SharePoint for collaboration and data management
- Proficient in Azure cloud platform services and capabilities
- Strong SQL programming skills with comprehensive understanding of database capabilities
- Experience with database design, optimization, and data modeling
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices
Responsibilities
- Participate as an active member of the scrum team, providing input to team velocity and sprint ceremonies, planning, demonstrations, and retrospectives
- Collaborate with Data Engineers, Data Architects, and Data Scientists to define back-end requirements for data products (aggregations, materialized views, tables for visualization)
- Work with internal and external customers to develop an analytics portfolio consistent with the vision and goals of stakeholders
- Design and code high-quality deliverables adhering to established standards and design principles
- Produce quality and timely deliverables within project timelines
- Develop and support solutions in MS PowerApps
- Support root cause analysis and resolution for complex issues regarding performance, scaling, and custom configuration
- Derive insight and understanding from large data sets through advanced data visualization techniques
- Build informative reports and dashboards using statistical methods and deep investigation
- Apply advanced knowledge in data visualization to effectively tell stories and drive action by presenting information
- Define and design KPI-based dashboards and reports that summarize customer insights and highlight "hot spots" for customers
- Perform data investigation to discover correlations and trends with the ability to explain findings clearly
- Transform complex data into actionable business intelligence
- Utilize SQL programming skills with comprehensive understanding of database capabilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in data science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field
- Microsoft certifications (Azure Data Engineer, Power BI Data Analyst, PowerApps certifications)
- Agile/Scrum certifications (CSM, PSM, etc.)
