PowerGrid / Power Systems Engineer

Summary

ELEKS is seeking a PowerGrid Engineer/Power Systems Engineer to join the DAKAR team in Ukraine. The role involves working on a software solution for managing large power distribution networks, providing design support, understanding the functionality of the DAKAR product, and representing the product to an English-speaking audience.

Requirements

• Project design experience, ideally in power generation, power distribution/transmission, and the utilities sector
• Experience with power simulation software
• 5 years of experience in a similar technical expert role
• Proficiency in power system planning (desirable)
• Applied expertise in distributed generation, alternative energy, and microgrid systems (desirable)
• Proficiency with designing, troubleshooting, and problem-solving for medium and high voltage distribution systems including substations, switchgear and standby generation systems

Responsibilities

• Provide power systems design and support to development and construction teams working on power system projects
• Gain an understanding of the functionality of the DAKAR product
• Represent the DAKAR product and ELEKS energy expertise to an English-speaking audience
• Monitor the product's competitors
• Prepare presentations for specific meetings
• Conduct online and offline meetings, and handle correspondence with clients

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a consulting capacity (desirable)
• Experience with renewable (PV & wind) energy would be beneficial
