Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (preferred) and/or paralegal certification
  • Minimum of 4+ years of personal injury paralegal experience, preferably in a litigation-focused role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and legal case management software
  • Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with attorneys and other team members remotely
  • Excellent research, oral, and written communication skills
  • Candidates must be located in the U.S. to be considered

Responsibilities

  • Draft letters, motions, pleadings, and other forms of legal correspondence
  • Prepare and organize documentation required at different stages of litigation
  • Coordinate with investigators to obtain evidence, including photos of scenes and witness statements
  • Manage medical records, prior claims history, and case-related documentation
  • Maintain regular communication with clients, keeping them informed about case progress
  • Prepare notice letters to Medicare/Medicaid and lienholders
  • Assist with discovery, including drafting discovery responses and requests
  • Support attorneys with trial preparation and filing documents with courts
  • Monitor the status of settlements and help draft closing statements

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with personal injury law and court systems in Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia
  • Candidates located in the Eastern Standard Time (EST) zone
  • Spanish language proficiency
