Summary

Join Caylent, a cloud native services company, as a Principal Data Architect to lead the design and implementation of complex cloud-based data solutions for clients. You will define strategic roadmaps, act as a data engineering SME, perform technical interviews, and oversee the development of data standards. This role requires extensive experience in AWS data landscape, traditional and new data technologies, and data engineering best practices.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of experience in AWS data landscape
  • 10 years of experience designing and building complex data systems as well as experience in these areas
  • Relational database design, optimization and migration
  • Data modeling for both transactional and analytics systems including implementation of industry standard data models
  • BI dashboards and visualizations
  • Data Governance and MDM
  • Big data processing using Spark, Streaming solutions, and NoSQL
  • Machine Learning and MLOps with proficiency in Sagemaker
  • GenAI Foundational Models as well as approaches and frameworks used in conjunction with them with proficiency in Bedrock
  • DataOps practices (Infrastructure as Code, Data Testing, Data Versioning, etc)
  • Experience with at least two of these
  • Infrastructure as Code tools
  • CI/CD pipelines and tools
  • Python for analytics (numpy, pandas, matplotlib etc) and automation
  • Strong drive towards standardizing and documenting our approach and solutions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Define strategic roadmaps and targeted outcomes for our clients in a consultative capacity
  • Act as a data engineering SME to define upcoming engagements working with our pre-sales teams
  • Perform technical interviews for Architect and Engineer candidates as well as provide technical guidance to Architects and Engineers
  • Oversee the development and implementation of data standards and operating procedures
