Summary
Join Veracode, a leading Application Risk Management company, as a Principal DevOps Engineer. Lead DevOps initiatives, drive automation, and optimize cloud infrastructure. Design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure cloud infrastructure on AWS. Architect, build, and optimize CI/CD pipelines. Lead Kubernetes (EKS) deployments. Implement infrastructure as code (Terraform). Drive automation across infrastructure, monitoring, and security processes. Mentor and guide junior DevOps engineers. Ensure compliance with security standards.
Requirements
- Must be eligible for FedRAMP certification
- 8+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or related roles
- Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS) and infrastructure automation
- Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration
- Proficiency in CI/CD tools (ArgoCD and GitLab CI/CD)
- Deep understanding of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
- Experience with scripting and automation (Python, Bash, Go, or similar)
- Strong knowledge of monitoring, logging, and observability tools
- Understanding of cloud cost management and optimization strategies
- Experience leading technical projects and mentoring engineers
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure cloud infrastructure (AWS)
- Architect, build, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to improve deployment efficiency and reliability
- Lead Kubernetes (EKS) deployments, ensuring high availability, security, and performance
- Implement infrastructure as code (Terraform) to standardize deployments
- Drive automation across infrastructure, monitoring, and security processes
- Monitor and optimize cloud costs while ensuring operational efficiency
- Establish best practices for observability, logging, and monitoring using tools like Prometheus and Grafana
- Collaborate with software engineers, security teams, and stakeholders to streamline workflows and improve system reliability
- Mentor and guide junior DevOps engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement
- Ensure compliance with security standards and industry best practices (SOC2, FIPS, etc)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd, Consul)
- Familiarity with security best practices in DevOps
- Knowledge of multi-cloud and hybrid cloud architectures
- Exposure to FinOps principles and cloud cost governance
