Summary

Join Reddit's Ads Measurement Org as a hands-on software engineering leader to improve Ads performance. You will lead end-to-end Measurement solutions, from ingestion to delivery, defining the long-term technical vision and strategy. Responsibilities include leading cross-functional projects, identifying opportunities to enhance Ads performance, designing cutting-edge products, and collaborating with various teams. You will mentor staff engineers, stay updated on industry trends, and advocate for Ads performance across the company. The ideal candidate possesses expertise in Ads Measurement products and technologies, understands Ads privacy challenges, and has a proven track record of driving high ad performance. This role requires a strong understanding of the Ads system and the ability to deliver through others while also contributing hands-on.

Requirements

  • A technical leader capable of creating and aligning on Measurement vision at the Ads Org level to solve challenges for at least the next 2+ years
  • Advocates for Ads performance by leading Ads Measurement and working across job functions (product, engineering, privacy, legal, etc.) across the company
  • Expert in Ads Measurement product and technologies such as Pixel, Conversions API, Event Deduplication, Events Manager, Signal Quality, Identity Resolution, Ads Attribution
  • Candidate’s Ads experience spans across multiple Ads domains beyond Ads Measurement, such as Optimization, Delivery, Targeting, Ranking, Bidding, Reporting, etc. They are capable of building Measurement solutions that have end-to-end impact across the entire Ads system and are able to drive downstream adoption
  • Familiar with Ads privacy challenges (GDPR, CCPA, ePD, ATT, etc.) and is experienced with delivering high Ads performance while meeting the privacy needs when developing solutions
  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of industry trends and has a proven track record of driving high ad performance adapting to signal loss due to evolving privacy constraints
  • Individual contributor capable of designing, implementing, testing, and launching complex product and infrastructure changes across the entire Ads stack
  • Can deliver through others as well as doing hands-on work

Responsibilities

  • Understanding the current and future state of the business and converting business problems into engineering solutions
  • Define the long term technical vision and strategy for Ads Measurement for the next 2+ years
  • Lead large cross-functional projects end to end, from concept, design, implementation, to rollout, ensuring the highest quality and performance
  • Identify top opportunities for Ads Measurement to improve Ads performance by diving deep into our platform and understanding the company priorities, the needs of our advertisers, as well as downstream consumers of Ads Measurement data
  • Design and develop cutting-edge products and solutions for Ads Measurement that improves data quality and integrates with downstream consumers of measurement data (including modeling teams), from ideation to production deployment
  • Collaborate with engineering and XFN leaders, data scientists, backend software engineers, fullstack engineers, as well as machine learning engineers
  • Mentor staff engineers and leaders, share industry knowledge, and contribute to the technical growth of the team
  • Stay updated on state-of-the-art products and techniques, recognizing promising innovations, identifying gaps, and adapting them to Reddit's unique platform and community
