Requirements

  • MS or PhD degree in Physics, EE, ME, Material Sciences or related disciplines
  • 5+ years of experience in wafer fab processing in magnetic recording head or related industries
  • Hands-on experience of thin film process techniques
  • Excellent data analysis skill and proficient in Excel
  • Good communication skill in both PowerPoint presentation and verbal discussion
  • Creative, self-motivated, open-minded and team player
  • Flexible in work schedule

Responsibilities

  • Develop critical reader junction processes from prototype to production for next-generation magnetic recording head
  • Carry out DOE and NPI wafer processing on a regular basis
  • Collect, analyze, understand and communicate wafer process data
  • Perform failure analysis of wafer process
  • Work with design, integration and NPI teams to understand magnetic requirements and translate them to physical requirements in wafer process
  • Work with manufacturing engineering teams to transfer process from development to manufacturing

Preferred Qualifications

  • Magnetic material background
  • Experience of ion beam etch (IBE) and/or ion beam deposition (IBD)
  • JMP skill and programming capability
