Principal Financial Analyst

Summary

MedeAnalytics is a leader in healthcare analytics seeking a Principal Financial Analyst to drive business growth and improve profitability by providing exceptional analysis, forecasting, variance analysis, operational reporting, and supporting business leaders. The position reports directly to Sr. Director, Finance and requires a BS degree in finance, accounting, business or equivalent, 5-10 years of FP&A or financial analysis experience, SaaS technology industry experience preferred, advanced Excel skills, driver based planning, costing and pricing models experience, and strong quantitative and analytical skills. Requirements

• BS in finance, accounting, business or equivalent required
• 5-10 years experience specifically in FP&A or financial analysis experience required

Responsibilities

• Develop an understanding of business and strategic initiatives through frequent business conversations with functional teams
• Accountable for managing and keeping forecast models current that reflects upcoming events, in order to meet monthly reporting requirements
• Collaborate with departmental leaders on expense budget
• Maintain three statement model that properly captures underlying business activity and forecasted financial statements
• Assist in market and opportunity analyses to help guide company growth initiatives
• Manage operating metrics reports that help business unit leaders and executives understand business performance
• Support with preparation of internal reporting and board reporting and development of sophisticated financial models
• Improve effectiveness and timeliness of reporting by continued automation and by understanding business unit leaders’ needs
• Identify key areas to improve both systems and processes that benefit the FP&A organization as well as the Company’s Strategic Goals
• Provide ad hoc financial analysis support as needed, in particular assisting leadership in developing financial business cases to support decision making
