Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in cloud engineering, infrastructure optimization, or a related domain, with a focus on large-scale cloud environments
- Strong expertise with cloud service providers like AWS and Azure, in particular with cost management
- Experience with physical data center management
- Hands-on experience with monitoring and observability tools, including Zabbix, Grafana, AWS CloudWatch, and Azure Monitor
- Understanding of networking, security, and virtualization principles
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and automation frameworks
- Proficient in monitoring and logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus, or ELK stack)
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a strong ability to analyze performance metrics and engineer solutions
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams
- Project management skills to lead initiatives from concept to completion, with a focus on delivering results on time and within budget
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of existing infrastructure and cloud configurations to identify gaps and areas for cost optimization
- Develop and implement best practices and standardized processes for cloud resource usage, ensuring compliance with security standards and budget parameters
- Optimize cloud and data center deployments for cost
- Collaborate with software development, security, and operations teams to integrate infrastructure and application workflows
- Monitor cloud performance metrics, leveraging data analytics, to proactively identify issues and recommend improvements
- Provide training and guidance to teams on new cloud technologies and optimization techniques
- Stay updated on industry trends and introduce new tools and methodologies to the organization whenever applicable
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Experience with cloud security best practices and compliance standards
- Knowledge of container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes or Docker
- Certification in relevant cloud technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert)
