Principal Investigator, Medicinal Chemist

The ideal candidate will lead drug discovery project teams, manage a team of CRO synthetic chemists, and collaborate with machine learning scientists and software engineers. This role requires a PhD in organic or medicinal chemistry with 6+ years of industry experience and a proven track record of leading medicinal chemistry teams. Requirements

• PhD in organic or medicinal chemistry with 6+ years of industry experience in medicinal chemistry
• Experience leading medicinal chemistry teams with a track record of creative problem solving
• Experience applying computational tools for both singleton and library design
• Skilled in interpreting and applying in vitro and in vivo biology, ADME/PK, and safety data to advance medicinal chemistry programs
• Adept at navigating and influencing a multi-disciplinary matrix environment
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, oral and written
• Past experience in the lab doing synthetic chemistry, ideally as applied to drug discovery
• Experience working with CRO partners

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to drug discovery project teams from hit ID through drug candidate nomination
• Manage a team of CRO synthetic chemists
• Collaborate closely with machine learning scientists and software engineers to advance our computational platforms
• Travel up to 10% annually as needed
