Summary
Join Nucleus Global as a Scientific Director and become a key member of a global medical affairs team working with a leading pharmaceutical client. This role requires expertise in obesity, hepatology, or related disorders, and experience in medical communications. You will partner with clients, providing scientific and strategic input, ensuring high-quality medical communication projects. As a senior scientific team member, you will mentor junior staff, streamline processes, and contribute to business growth. The position offers opportunities for client interaction, including travel for meetings and events. This role can be remote, hybrid, or in-office, based in the UK.

- Key therapy area knowledge including obesity, hepatology or other related disorders
- Experience developing and reviewing related content within a MedComms setting
Responsibilities
- Works closely with the Client Services Director and Editorial Lead to ensure scientific excellence
- Takes the scientific leadership of a discrete workstream within aa major revenue-generating account and builds strong consultancy (โtrusted advisorโ) relationships with the relevant client team members
- Demonstrates and maintains a thorough understanding of obesity, hepatology or related therapy areas wih a focus on medical affairs in particular
- Works closely with client services and editorial leads in the development of proposals, medical education and communication tactics ensuring that they are scientifically sound and of high quality
- Supports the delivery of strategic documents (e.g. scientific platforms, scientific statement development) and other deliverables with high scientific and strategic content (e.g. advisory boards, training materials)
- Line manages junior writers
