Principal Product Manager - Innovation & Incubation

Summary

Join SAP LeanIX as a Principal Product Manager – Innovation & Incubation to lead the exploration and development of new strategic opportunities. You will identify emerging trends, understand SAP’s technology landscape, and collaborate across departments to create product strategies. This role demands a deep understanding of SAP’s initiatives, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to introduce new ideas into the SAP LeanIX Product & Engineering organization. You will drive innovation, connect business strategy with technology, and shape the future of enterprise architecture and business transformation solutions. The position involves exploring and evaluating SAP innovations, acting as an innovation frontrunner, driving cross-company collaboration, translating insights into product strategy, ensuring seamless integration, fostering knowledge-sharing, and validating ideas.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in Product Management, Strategy, or Innovation with a strong track record of driving new product initiatives
• Deep knowledge of SAP technologies and strategic initiatives, with the ability to identify synergies with SAP LeanIX
• Experience working cross-functionally with SAP departments, engineering, and business stakeholders to drive technology-driven business transformation
• Entrepreneurial mindset with hands-on experience in exploring, evaluating, and incubating new product opportunities
• Strong strategic and analytical skills, with the ability to assess and prioritize innovation potential
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable product opportunities
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels within SAP and SAP LeanIX

Responsibilities

• Explore & evaluate SAP innovations - continuously monitor and assess new strategic initiatives, emerging technologies, and trends within SAP, identifying opportunities for LeanIX
• Act as a frontrunner in innovation - deeply engage with new SAP topics, understanding their technical and business impact while identifying synergies with LeanIX
• Drive cross-company collaboration – establish and maintain strong relationships with SAP departments, product teams, and leadership to align on innovation and technology trends
• Translate insights into product strategy – work closely with SAP LeanIX Product & Engineering to transform SAP-driven opportunities into actionable roadmaps and product innovations
• Ensure seamless integration & alignment – identify and define how new SAP capabilities can be leveraged within the SAP LeanIX product ecosystem
• Foster knowledge-sharing & thought leadership – act as a key representative for SAP LeanIX in SAP-wide discussions, advocating for innovation-driven business transformation
• Validate and refine ideas – work with customer advisory councils, UX teams, and engineering to prototype and test early-stage concepts before formalizing them into the product roadmap

Preferred Qualifications

Fluency in Business English; German is a plus but not required
