Principal Product Sustenance Engineer

Summary

Join Eurofins Scientific, a leading international life sciences company, as an Application Support professional. This role requires 11-12 years of experience in application support, leading mid-sized teams, and utilizing DevOps methodologies. You will be responsible for release management, troubleshooting applications, and coordinating with multiple teams to resolve issues. The position demands excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, strong communication abilities, and a customer-focused approach. Knowledge of databases, ITIL framework, and SDLC/STLC processes is essential. The successful candidate will also be proficient in troubleshooting IIS and reading Windows server event viewer logs.

Requirements

• Minimum 11 -12 years of experience in application support
• Experience with leading mid-sized teams
• Knowledge of DEVOPS methodologies, CD/CI
• Customer focused and goal orientated with keen attention to detail
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal/written communication skills. Good competent in English
• Good knowledge on database manipulation skills (like MSSQL/T-SQL scripts/queries)
• Experience in working with cross functional teams spread across geographies
• Good knowledge of IIS troubleshooting & ability to read the event viewer logs from Windows server
• Willing to work in Morning and Afternoon shifts
• Very good knowledge in SDLC and STLC process
• Understanding of single sign on
• Good knowledge of RDBMS, SQL Server preferred
• Experience in debugging the apps with API / REST services
• Understand of terraform, Observability, Error handling in Cloud setups
• Knowledge of Elastic Search - Mandatory

Responsibilities

• Application troubleshooting and ability to coordinate with multiple teams to solve the issues
• Proven ability to work within service level agreement in order to solve customer issues
• Escalate and follow-up in a timely manner about all blocking issues and issue deviation from SOP’s

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Release Management & Co-ordination is good to have
• Have good practice on ITIL framework to assist in day-to-day BAU Operations, Goo to have
• Writing automated scripts / queries for validating applications would be appreciated
• Any Azure / DevOPS certification
