Requirements

  • Have ten plus years of hands-on experience as a software engineer
  • Demonstrate a track record of technical leadership
  • Disambiguate technical requirements and functional requirements to provide your team direction
  • Be proficient with Java, JavaScript, Python, React & Angular
  • Have strong experience in multiple Big Data/Cloud/Enterprise Frameworks
  • Have experience in creating robust web-socket and RESTFul APIs
  • Possess deep knowledge of SW design and architecture patterns
  • Be proficient with cloud technologies like AWS, Azure, and Kubernetes
  • Be a strong collaborator who can work well with a diverse team
  • Be able to mentor junior engineers
  • Demonstrate working knowledge & experience in Kubernetes
  • Demonstrate the ability to leverage multiple types of databases
  • Support CI/CD pipelines
  • Develop performant applications
  • Obtain a Security+ certification within 90 days of employment with Raft
  • Have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or a related field
  • Have an Active Secret security clearance

Responsibilities

  • Dive deeper into the software lifecycle, taking on more complex tasks and leading smaller project initiatives
  • Write code
  • Be involved in design discussions
  • Conduct code reviews
  • Mentor Associate and Standard Engineers
  • Help maintain the high standards of the organization
  • Be the technical owner of a software team's delivery

Preferred Qualifications

  • Have experience with Software Factories and Big Data Platforms
  • Be a Certified Kubernetes Developer
