Summary
Join Rula's dynamic engineering team as a Principal Engineer, leading high-priority, cross-functional projects. You will design and implement scalable systems, driving technical excellence across the organization. This role requires navigating ambiguity and delivering impactful solutions. Close collaboration with cross-functional teams focused on partnerships and integrations is key. Mentoring and collaborating with a broad set of engineers is also expected. This position offers the opportunity to shape the future of Rula's technology and make a tangible impact. We are seeking an engineering leader with a proven track record and a passion for innovation.
Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or relevant experience
- 10+ years of experience working as a Software Engineer or Software Architect
- 5+ years of experience in technical leadership or management roles
- Experience with service-oriented architecture and cloud-based technologies
- Strong understanding of security, performance, scalability, observability, and maintainability best practices
- Proven ability to mentor and develop engineering talent
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable systems
- Drive technical excellence across the organization
- Navigate ambiguity and rapidly shifting priorities
- Deliver impactful solutions across various domains
- Work closely with cross-functional teams focused on partnerships and their integrations with patient and provider surface areas, as well as core infrastructure patterns that support all engineering teams
- Mentor and collaborate with a broad set of engineers
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to align technical initiatives with broader company goals
- Experience working in agile development environments
- Experience working on cross-functional teams
- Strong knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
- Demonstrated ability to advocate for and implement innovative technical solutions
