Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in software development
  • Strong proficiency in C#/.NET, with a deep understanding of object-oriented design and modern backend development principles
  • Proven experience working with Typescript in server-side or full-stack environments
  • Expertise in building and maintaining REST and GraphQL APIs in production systems
  • Practical knowledge of DynamoDB and MySQL, with the ability to choose the right tool for the job and optimize for performance and scalability
  • A proactive mindset, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for crafting clean, efficient, and maintainable code
  • Experience leading backend initiatives and mentoring engineering teams in fast-paced, dynamic environments
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines

Responsibilities

  • Design scalable and performant backend systems that support a wide range of product features, e.g., integrations between Wealth.com and other platforms
  • Architect robust APIs and data pipelines, ensuring seamless integration across services and platforms
  • Implement backend logic using C#/.NET with high standards for reliability, maintainability, and with frontend engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver cohesive and user-centric solutions
  • Optimize data storage and retrieval using both relational (MySQL) and NoSQL (DynamoDB) databases
  • Mentor and guide junior and senior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement
  • Lead technical planning sessions and participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge
  • Integrate GraphQL services efficiently with our existing infrastructure, ensuring consistent and performant data access
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices to continually improve our backend capabilities

Preferred Qualifications

Extensive experience with cloud platforms like AWS (preferred) or GCP
