Requirements
- U.S. citizenship is required
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in process or mechanical engineering, including design, estimating, specification preparation, and construction document development
- Experience working in highly regulated environments, with nuclear project experience being strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of relevant Federal (including Department of Energy Orders), state, and local codes and standards applicable to mechanical and process engineering
- Familiarity with computer-aided drafting (CAD) software
Responsibilities
- Provide technical direction to assigned engineers and teams throughout the project lifecycle
- Oversee the planning, organization, and coordination of engineering design projects, ensuring alignment with project objectives
- Prepare and review design calculations, specifications, and construction documents, particularly P&ID development
- Lead multi-disciplinary teams in design and engineering projects during planning, design, and construction phases
- Ensure the accuracy and compliance of engineering designs with relevant codes and standards
- Conduct construction document reviews and offer technical solutions as necessary
- Demonstrate expertise in mechanical systems, process design, and related equipment design
- Collaborate with stakeholders to meet project goals and timelines, ensuring technical solutions are in line with client requirements
- Maintain thorough documentation and ensure project completion within budget and time constraints
