Product Engineer Intern

Join Lexington Medical's Summer Intern Program as an undergraduate or graduate student studying Mechanical Engineering or similar technical disciplines. Contribute to product development, gain business acumen, and real-world experience in Bedford, Massachusetts.

Requirements

Must be currently attending an accredited university as an undergraduate majoring in Mechanical Engineering, or similar technical disciplines

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering input during all stages of product development
• Implement incremental design improvements based on customer feedback
• Create and execute design of experiments for testing new design concepts, materials, and/or manufacturing processes to enhance product quality, functionality, and potential reduction in manufacturing time
• Perform official design verification testing as part of the Lexington Medical design release process
• Create and update Production Model Documentation, including assembly drawings, manufacturing procedures, and assembly records
• Develop Lexington Medical product knowledge as well as hands-on ability to operate
• Work independently and collaboratively across functions including Quality assurance/Regulatory affairs, Manufacturing Engineering, and the Production team to implement design improvement projects

Preferred Qualifications

Engineering or manufacturing experience preferred
