Summary

Join nTop's Product Team as a Product Engineer and contribute to innovative engineering solutions for our customers. You will work closely with various teams to execute on the product roadmap, requiring expert-level knowledge of our product and deep understanding of customer workflows. This role demands strong communication and project management skills, along with creative problem-solving abilities. You will be responsible for deeply understanding customer needs, developing application-focused solutions, and building technical enablement materials. The position reports to the Director of Product and offers a competitive salary.

Requirements

  • Demonstrable knowledge of implicit geometry, generative design methods, and modeling in functional programming languages (e.g. Grasshopper)
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in technical pre-sales, engineering, customer support, or product management in the Computer Aided Design or Computer Aided Engineering industries
  • A BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or relevant science field
  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively and solve hard engineering problems using sound judgment to assess risks
  • Fluency in many engineering software tools (i.e., CAD, CAE, and CAM)
  • Strong interest in deeply understanding customer pain points, needs, and desires
  • Creative problem solver with a history of strong performance, bringing a balance of big-picture thinking and detailed execution to projects
  • Experience working in collaborative, cross-functional environments
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • A self-starter with exceptional attention to detail
  • A passion for 3-D modeling, simulation, advanced manufacturing, programming, or other kinds of making

Responsibilities

  • Deeply understand how our customers use nTop to solve their problems
  • Identify and develop application-focused solutions based on customer use cases
  • Build nTop blocks and demos to test new ideas with potential customers
  • Develop best practices with our technical field teams for common applications
  • Document product specifications for the Engineering team and develop tailored solutions in the user environment
  • Build technical enablement material for our Go-to-Market teams
  • Contribute to technical documentation and other customer support resources
  • Contribute insights to product leadership for roadmap formulation

Preferred Qualifications

Experience as a design engineer in aerospace, automotive or other engineering driven industries

Benefits

Compensation: $105,000-120,000 annually, depending on experience
