Summary

The job is for a Profee Coder & Auditor at Mindseeker, a healthcare professional services company. The candidate should have knowledge of medical terminology and usage, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, OWA, Adobe pdf., and familiarity with computer hardware and software like AHLTA, CCE, CHCS, MHS Genesis, and Essentris. The individual must maintain annual coding credentials from the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) and hold certifications as Certified Professional Coder (CPC) and Certified Outpatient Coder (COC).

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years recent OP coding experience with 2 years current production coding in multiple specialties, Including Pulmonary and Cardiology
• Experience must include assignment of Evaluation and Management (E/M) leveling for professional services, CPT, HCPCS, Modifiers, and Units of Service
• Knowledge of medical terminology and usage, including general medical, surgical, pharmaceutical, hospital terms and abbreviations, and abstracting techniques
• A minimum of two years' experience in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, Mail.mil (OWA), Adobe pdf., and proficient with computer hardware and software (AHLTA, CCE, CHCS, MHS Genesis, and Essentris) to accomplish assigned tasks
• Annual coding credentials must be maintained by the individual
• American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) certification
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC)
• Certified Outpatient Coder (COC)

Responsibilities

Code and maintain a 95% coding accuracy rate in each of the following areas: ICD-10-CM, E&M (modifier utilization will impact accuracy rate), CPT (modifier and unit of service utilization will impact accuracy rate), Audits when client requests

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with auditing profee
• Provide profee education to physicians is preferred
