Requirements

  • Possess a minimum of 5 years' experience in construction staking, including experience with buildings, structures, robotics, and GPS equipment
  • Hold a PLS license in CA
  • Demonstrate proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil3D
  • Possess experience with Carlson Software and Leica Systems
  • Be proficient with Trimble surveying equipment and software, specifically 1-man robotic data collection
  • Possess solid math skills
  • Hold a valid California Driver's License

Responsibilities

  • Perform construction staking
  • Utilize robotics and GPS equipment
  • Conduct boundary topographic surveys
  • Operate and maintain surveying instruments
  • Process survey data in the office
  • Perform Digital Terrain Model (DTM) creation, GPS data collection and processing, and least square adjustments
  • Conduct topographic and boundary surveys
  • Work effectively as part of a team
  • Mentor and train other team members

Preferred Qualifications

  • Have three years of journey-level experience with responsible charge on a survey project involving the use, adjustment, and care of surveying instruments, both with a field crew and processing work in the office
  • Be proficient in a wide range of computer programs, including MS Office Suite, CADD (Civil3D, Carlson, MicroSurvey, or other drafting package), and processing/adjustment software (Trimble Business Center, StarNet, etc.)
  • Have three or more years of experience in Digital Terrain Model (DTM), GPS collection and processing, least square adjustment, topographic surveys, and boundary surveys
  • Have recent field experience
