Requirements

  • Possess 5+ years of experience in the survey-mapping field
  • Demonstrate AutoCAD proficiency and Civil3D skills
  • Have recent construction staking experience
  • Possess experience with Carlson Software and Leica Systems
  • Be proficient with Trimble surveying equipment and software
  • Hold a Professional Land Surveyors License from the State of California
  • Possess a valid California Driver's License

Responsibilities

  • Perform construction staking
  • Utilize robotics and GPS equipment
  • Conduct boundary topographic surveys
  • Work with Carlson Software and Leica Systems
  • Utilize Trimble surveying equipment and software, specifically 1-man robotic data collection
  • Demonstrate solid math skills
  • Exhibit a team player attitude
  • Assist in teaching others

Preferred Qualifications

  • Have three years of journey-level experience with responsible charge on a survey project involving the use, adjustment, and care of surveying instruments, both with a field crew and processing work in the office
  • Be proficient in a wide range of computer programs, including MS Office Suite, CADD (Civil3D, Carlson, MicroSurvey, or other drafting package), and processing/adjustment software (Trimble Business Center, StarNet, etc.)
  • Have three or more years of experience in Digital Terrain Model (DTM), GPS collection and processing, least square adjustment, topographic surveys, and boundary surveys
