Summary
Join Euclid Power, a renewable energy software and services company, as a Program Director in our Development Services vertical. You will lead client engagements for battery energy storage projects, primarily in Texas and California. This role involves expanding BESS service offerings, advising on project risks, managing stakeholders, mentoring team members, collaborating with the product team, and contributing to company-wide functions. You will drive growth by standardizing best practices and setting industry benchmarks. The ideal candidate possesses extensive renewable energy project development experience, a strong understanding of project finance, and exceptional communication skills.
Requirements
- 10+ years of proven project development experience within the renewable energy industry. Experience in/managing project sale and financing transactions is a plus
- Experience in developing and executing market strategies for successful utility-scale energy storage projects
- Complete knowledge of the renewables project lifecycle and crucial value drivers in project financial models
- Mastery of the key technical and commercial provisions of revenue, interconnection, site control, EPC, and membership interest/asset purchase agreements
- Experience managing competitive procurement processes for key long-lead components of energy storage projects
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or finance preferred but specific majors not required with required professional experience
Responsibilities
- Direct client engagements to develop battery energy storage projects across major US markets, with a focus on TX and CA
- Expand Euclid’s BESS service offerings, working closely with the Director of Development to scale this offering within Development Services
- Advise as a subject matter expert, analyzing the technical, commercial, and market risks of BESS projects at all stages of development
- Manage external stakeholders as required in the project development process to deliver expert-level outcomes across engagement objectives
- Coach and mentor Project Managers and Analysts across the organization in BESS development best practices, ensuring expertise is effectively applied to every project detail
- Collaborate with Euclid’s Product team as a subject matter expert in renewable energy development, shaping the design and functionality of our technical products
- Work closely with the Director of Development and senior leadership to support company-wide and project-specific functions, including engagement tracking, P&L management, and resource planning
- Drive the growth of solar and storage projects by standardizing best practices in project development and setting a higher industry benchmark for quality
