Summary
Join Unitek Learning as a Programmatic Trainer and play a pivotal role in enhancing the learning experience for nursing students. You will collaborate with faculty and leadership to develop and deliver training programs, provide guidance on curriculum delivery, and conduct workshops to improve faculty skills. Requirements
- Master's degree or higher in a relevant field, such as nursing, education, instructional design, or a related discipline
- Minimum of five years of previous experience in teaching or faculty support in higher education
- Knowledge of learning management systems (LMS)
- Strong understanding of pedagogical principles, instructional design models, and assessment strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide constructive feedback and support to faculty members
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty members, academic administrators, and other stakeholders
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions
- Commitment to promoting excellence in teaching and learning and fostering a culture of continuous improvement
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with faculty members and academic leadership to develop and deliver training programs that support the successful delivery and implementation of the curriculum for nursing programs
- Provide guidance and support to faculty members in understanding and effectively delivering course content, assignments, and assessments in accordance with program objectives and accreditation standards
- Conduct training sessions, workshops, and professional development activities to enhance faculty members' knowledge and skills as they relate to nursing curriculum and student success
- Partner with various departments including instructional design, faculty development, academics, etc. to provide actionable feedback and work towards continuous improvement of the faculty and student experience
- Communicate areas of opportunity to academic leadership and collaborate on developing solutions/actions
- Work closely with subject matter experts and instructional designers to ensure the alignment of training materials with program goals and objectives
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make recommendations for continuous improvement
- Stay current with trends and best practices in nursing education, online learning, and instructional technology
- Provide ongoing support and mentoring to faculty members, offering guidance and resources to promote student success and program excellence
- Conduct training on item analysis and assist faculty in identifying trends to inform continuous improvement efforts
- Elevate concerns and follow-up with faculty and faculty coaches to ensure faculty expectations are being met and students are being supported
- Identify faculty that are excelling and recognize those areas
- Promote community and develop rapport with faculty through regular engagement efforts
- Coach faculty on integrated technologies and instructional resources, and best practices for student support with those technologies
- Collaborate with academic leadership to develop and implement strategies for enhancing the overall quality of academic programs
- Stay informed about emerging trends and best practices in higher education pedagogy and andragogy
- Design and deliver faculty workshops, training sessions, and develop resources to strengthen faculty effectiveness in the classroom
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of faculty programmatic training, feedback, and recommendations
- Other duties as assigned
