Summary
Join Ramboll's Data Center Sector as a Project Engineer and contribute to a sustainable future. Based in Syracuse, NY (remote options considered), you will support site feasibility evaluations and master planning for data center campuses. Responsibilities include site planning, grading, drainage, utility plans, and coordination with various engineering specialists. You will ensure compliance with local regulations and prepare technical reports and design documents. The ideal candidate possesses a civil engineering degree, 5+ years of relevant experience, proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, and excellent communication skills. A PE license is preferred but not required.
Requirements
- Bachelorโs or Masterโs degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in site/civil engineering โ experience with data center, industrial, or campus-scale developments preferred
- Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and familiar with grading, drainage, and utility design
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Responsibilities
- Support site feasibility evaluations and master planning for data center campuses including site planning, grading, drainage and utility plans
- Coordinate with project managers, CAD technicians, planners, geotechnical engineers, and environmental specialists
- Ensure compliance with local zoning requirements, land development process, and environmental permits
- Prepare technical reports, and engineering design documents
- Mentor junior staff and CAD technicians
Preferred Qualifications
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred but not required
