Property Caretaker

Summary

Join MATRIX Camps and Logistics as a dedicated and experienced Caretaker couple for a beautiful off-grid private property in BC. As Property Caretakers, you will ensure the upkeep and maintenance of our property, enjoying living in a remote setting with excellent fishing, hunting, and outdoor experiences.

Requirements

• Previous Experience in remote property maintenance or facilities management is required
• Must have the capability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs and perform physical labor
• Must be able to successfully complete a criminal records check
• The couple must have good common sense for living in an off-grid remote property environment
• They must be capable of performing the duties required and be mechanically inclined for basic required maintenance purposes
• Applicants must be clean living with no drug or alcohol abuse concerns

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily inspections of the property and facilities to identify and resolve maintenance issues
• Perform regular cleaning and upkeep of all grounds, including landscaping and snow removal
• Ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines in all maintenance and caretaking activities
• Conduct property improvements, gardens, orchard, hay fields, fencing, abandoned vehicles, outbuildings, will all need considerable attention
• Conduct general repairs and maintenance tasks, such as plumbing and electrical work
• Coordinate with the owner for larger maintenance projects and services
• Maintain an organized inventory of supplies and equipment
• Report any significant issues to the Property owner promptly
