Summary
Join the Nimbus research team as a blockchain engineer, working closely with the Nomos team. Develop a deep understanding of both Nimbus and Nomos, their architectures, and designs. Consume specifications from Nomos, provide feedback, and collaborate with the Nimbus team to identify potential issues. Contribute to the development of a performant and reusable Ethereum client and library designed for resource-restricted devices. The role requires a strong understanding of blockchain technology, experience in documentation and specification, and a proactive, communicative approach. Bonus points for experience in open-source organizations or privacy-focused projects.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of blockchain technology and its underlying principles
- You have been in the blockchain industry for several years and are highly familiar with decentralised technology
- You care about privacy and building protocols and applications that are truly decentralised, privacy-preserving and censorship-resistant
- You have a technical background (Software Engineer or similar) & experience in documentation and specification
- You are proactive and communicative; making things happen comes easily to you
Responsibilities
- Develop a deep understanding of Nimbus and Nomos, including their architectures and designs
- Consume specifications from Nomos and provide feedback where necessary, clarifying any ambiguities
- Collaborate with the Nimbus team to identify potential issues or areas for improvement in the specifications
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in an open-source organisation
- You've used Nimbus Client or have worked in a privacy-focused project/organisation
