Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Summary

Join our established team of Psychiatrists, Psychiatric NPs, and social workers at our Bronx outpatient clinic! We offer an exciting opportunity for a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to work with over 10 staff members, seeing up to 12 patients daily (1-hour initial evaluations, 30-minute follow-ups). Medical assistants handle prior authorizations. Our patient population is primarily adults (25+) with various mental illnesses. We provide ample administrative time, in-depth EMR training, and a collaborative environment. Enjoy a flexible 4- or 5-day work schedule with no weekends or on-call responsibilities. Remote work is currently available. The clinic is conveniently located in the northern Bronx, easily accessible from Westchester County and other boroughs. Requirements

• Board Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
• Active or in Process DEA License
• Active NY PMHNP license
• Master’s Degree from Accredited Nursing Program (PMHNP)
• Strong communication skills

Responsibilities

• Performing psychiatry evaluations for mostly adult patients in outpatient clinic setting
• Interacting with Prescribers and clinicians on site
• Participating in group meetings when necessary
• Working remotely seeing patients
• Documenting all Notes in EPOCH EMR System
• Discussing clinical practice
• Continuing Psychiatry research
• Prescribing medication when necessary
• Interacting with Registered Nurses when IM injections need to be given

Preferred Qualifications

1+ Year Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner experience
