Requirements
- Graduate of ACGME-accredited psychiatry residency program
- ABPN Board-certified in Psychiatry
- Active and unrestricted M.D. or D.O. medical license in the state of residence required (New York)
- Keep up-to-date with continuing medical education
- Navigate video-conferencing platforms and learn new technology, such as Athena
- Prompt and regular attendance to scheduled shifts
- Ability to work shifts of at least various hours
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-intensity work environment
- Ability to remain seated in a stationary position for prolonged periods
- Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate keyboard, computer and other office-related equipment
- Ability to interact with leadership, employees, and members in an appropriate manner
Responsibilities
- Assess patients through a video-based encounter
- Perform virtual comprehensive mental health evaluations, compile patient medical data, including health history and mental status examination findings
- Psychotropic medication management including evaluation of patient medical history, and medication response, adherence and tolerability for each individual patient treated
- Develop and implement behavioral health treatment plans, evaluate results of mental health assessments, and provide med management to patients
- Collect, record and maintain sensitive patient information such as examination results, medical history and reports
Preferred Qualifications
No heavy lifting is expected, though occasional exertion of about 20 lbs. of force (e.g., lifting a computer / laptop) may be required
