Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree and/or minimum of 3 years’ experience in the solar industry
  • 3+ years’ experience as a Project Controller or Engineering Assistant in the engineering, design/build, EPC or energy sector
  • Working knowledge of basic engineering functions and design principles in the fields of structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering. Must also have skills to complete multiple engineering and design fabrication projects simultaneously
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Docs, Sales Force and other tools

Responsibilities

  • Develop work breakdown structure of engineering processes and prepare diagrams, graphs, and charts to analyze problems
  • Provide monthly reports of dealers’ performance and trends
  • Ensure all engineering-related training documents are up to date
  • Support senior staff and ensure the satisfaction of PV system project milestones and requirements
  • Oversee and report performance and progress through analytical techniques to validate cost and performance of the engineering department and engineering service providers
  • Create shade study analysis for preliminary designs and post-installations
  • Provides administrative problem-solving support to the operations staff, dealers, and customers; escalates unresolved or complex issues
  • Provides instruction to dealer support on Sunnova Engineering processes and procedures
  • Provides a seamless operational process executing strategy; participates in discussions with the operation management regarding the goals set
  • Auditing, creating cases, and pushing the systems where Engineers require a Technical Remediation
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Familiarity electrical line diagrams
  • A background or familiarity with PV (photovoltaics) and battery storage projects
  • Experience or familiarity with computer-aided design (CAD)
  • Experience with PV shade analysis software
  • Salesforce experience
