Python Engineer

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 3+ years of hands-on experience developing scalable, backend-focused services using Python
• Proficient with Python frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Pylons
• Strong experience with SQLAlchemy and familiarity with both relational (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases
• Demonstrated experience working on distributed systems with a focus on scalability, caching strategies, and performance optimization

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support APIs, microservices, and backend services using Python to power a platform handling hundreds of millions of events daily
• Continuously improve the platform’s resilience, scalability, and performance by identifying bottlenecks and implementing optimized Python-based solutions
• Participate in Agile processes, including sprint planning, estimation, retrospectives, and code reviews
• Lead by example, maintaining high development standards and fostering a collaborative team environment
• Continuously refactor and optimize Python code to maintain the platform's high-performance standards and deliver quality solutions that meet customer needs

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud infrastructure is a plus, provided it supports Python-based development
• Strong problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail and the ability to design and implement effective Python-based solutions
