Python Engineer

Summary

Join Gorilla Logic as a Backend Developer (Python) and contribute to building and maintaining web and mobile applications for our clients. You will work collaboratively within an Agile team, mentoring fellow developers and ensuring high-quality code delivery. Success in this role requires critical thinking, self-motivation, and strong communication skills. The position requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, 4+ years of backend development experience with Python, and experience with testing frameworks. Additional skills in Kotlin, Chronosphere, AWS, and Kubernetes are beneficial.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
• 4+ years of backend development experience with Python
• Experience in writing tests in Pytest, Nosetest
• REST API design and implementation
• Self-starter and takes ownership
• Proficient English and communications skills required
• Good analytical thinking and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Work with an agile team to build, maintain, and optimize our client’s applications
• Mentor fellow developers
• Work with DevOps and QA to build a quality-focused CI/CD pipeline
• Responsible for code reviews, testing, and delivery of high-quality maintainable code
• Work in an Agile environment to define, estimate, and work user stories

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Kotlin
• Familiarity with Chronosphere for observability
• Familiarity with AWS, and Kubernetes is a plus
