Python/Go Team Leader

Summary

The job is for a Team Leader (Tech Lead Manager) at Wallarm, a global remote-first company that provides API security solutions. The role involves managing a cross-functional team, achieving impactful goals related to the API Discovery product, and spending up to 50% of time in code development.

Requirements

• 5+ years in software development. 1+ year of management cross-functional team
• Experience with Python 3 and microservice architecture
• Broad experience in API development
• Understanding of parallel and concurrent programming principles
• Hands-on experience with high-loaded systems. Good understanding of modern software architecture

Responsibilities

• Manage a cross–functional team - Frontend, Backend (Python + Ruby/Go) and QA
• Guide team to achieve impactful goals related to API Discovery product. Goals will be set in collaboration with the Product Manager
• Prepare and execute roadmap with Product Manager
• Be accountable for architecture decisions in the team
• Be focused on strategic planning, problem-solving, and decision-making through quarter OKRs

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Go and/or Ruby
• On-hands experience with API protocols: REST, GRPC and GraphQL
• Experience with a low-level programming language (e.g. C/C++)
• Experience with software distributed through packages without automatic updates
