Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in a quality assurance or software development role with a strong focus on test automation
  • Deep experience with test automation in a modern tech stack, including proficiency in Python or TypeScript in a cloud environment
  • Proven experience delivering software from concept through production, including contributing to CI/CD, monitoring, and operational support
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • A collaborative mindset and excellent communication skills
  • The working language at Kinetic is English

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and efficient automated test scripts and frameworks
  • Architect and implement the overall test automation strategy to increase test coverage and reduce manual testing efforts
  • Participate in architecture and code reviews to ensure software is designed for testability, performance, and reliability
  • Integrate automated testing into the CI/CD pipeline to enable continuous delivery
  • Perform manual testing of new features to provide rapid feedback and inform the development of comprehensive automated regression suites
  • Identify, document, and track bugs through to resolution, emphasizing root cause analysis
  • Advocate for and implement best practices in testing and quality across the engineering team
  • Proactively identify opportunities for improvement in product quality and testing processes

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar
  • Experience testing solutions built on AWS, serverless architectures, and various database technologies (SQL and no-SQL)
  • Strong testing and documentation practices with examples of how you have solved testing challenges in the past
  • Experience using Generative AI to enhance test cases and procedures
  • Experience with performance, load, and security testing
