QA Automation Tester

Summary

Join ZigZag as a QA Automation Tester and contribute to delivering high-quality software for a US-based client in the real estate, asset management, and financial services sector. This remote role involves collaborating with development and product teams, creating and executing test plans, conducting manual and exploratory testing, documenting bugs, and participating in sprint planning. While primarily remote, occasional on-site meetings in Ortigas, Pasig City are required. The ideal candidate will have 1–3 years of QA testing experience, familiarity with QA methodologies, and experience with test management tools. Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and comfort with Agile environments are essential. The night shift schedule is Monday to Friday, 9 pm-6 am or 10 pm-7 am Manila Time.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience as a QA Tester or in a similar role
• Familiarity with QA methodologies and software testing lifecycle
• Experience with test management and bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail)
• Strong attention to detail and a systematic approach to problem-solving
• Ability to work independently while collaborating remotely with a US-based team
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English
• Comfortable with fast-paced, Agile development environments

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with development and product teams to understand requirements and ensure proper test coverage
• Create and execute detailed test plans and test cases for both new features and existing systems
• Conduct manual testing and exploratory testing of web-based applications and internal tools
• Document and report bugs clearly and accurately using tools such as JIRA
• Perform regression testing, smoke testing, and usability checks as needed
• Participate in sprint planning and QA checkpoints to improve product quality
• Ensure products meet functional, design, and user experience expectations before release

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to the real estate or finance industry
• Experience with automated testing tools like Selenium or Cypress
• Understanding of basic programming logic (HTML/CSS, JavaScript, or Python)
