Requirements
- 3β5 years of hands-on experience in software testing, with a strong background in exploratory and manual testing and growing automation skills
- Deep understanding of QA principles, test case design strategies, and defect lifecycle management
- Experience with test automation tools such as Cypress, Selenium, or Playwright
- Solid grasp of REST API testing and backend validation using tools like Postman or similar
- Strong analytical thinking and strong attention to detail
- Proficient in browser dev tools and debugging client-server interactions
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and participating in full SDLC activities
Responsibilities
- Leading exploratory testing for complex features and modules, identifying edge cases and real-world user scenarios
- Designing, executing, and maintaining comprehensive test cases (manual and automated) to validate functionality, performance, and reliability
- Documenting and reporting bugs clearly with complete reproduction steps, logs, and relevant artifacts
- Driving collaboration with product managers, developers, and QA peers during sprint planning, story grooming, and product reviews
- Contribute to enhancing and maintaining test automation for regression and smoke scenarios using tools such as Cypress, Selenium, or Playwright
- Participating in and contributing to test planning, risk assessments, and release validation strategies
- Taking initiative in improving QA processes, tools, and standards to boost test effectiveness and team efficiency
- Using browser developer tools, Postman, and proxies for validating APIs, network calls, and backend integration
- Supporting testing across multiple environments (development, staging, production)
- Mentoring junior QA engineers, providing guidance on test design, defect reporting, and QA best practices
Preferred Qualifications
- Developing proficiency in scripting or programming languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python)
- Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., TestRail, Xray) and issue tracking systems (e.g., Jira)
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
- Exposure to usability, accessibility, or performance testing
- Experience in mentoring junior testers or leading small QA efforts
