Summary

Join ClickHouse's Control Plane team as a Software Engineer to develop and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright, design and implement end-to-end test automation frameworks, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. You will identify and document bugs, analyze test results, and develop test strategies. The role requires 2+ years of experience in automation testing for web applications, strong experience with Playwright or similar frameworks, and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and web technologies. Requirements

  • 2 + years of experience in automation testing with a focus on web applications
  • Strong experience with Playwright or similar testing frameworks (e.g. Vitest, Jest, Cypress, Selenium)
  • Experience in CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, or similar) and integrating automated tests into the build process
  • Good understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript) and APIs (REST)
  • Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies and best practices
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively
  • Familiarity with SQL for basic querying and data validation, including SELECT statements, filtering, and simple joins

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright for web applications
  • Design, implement, and execute end-to-end test automation frameworks
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (QA, DevOps, Product, and Development) to ensure proper integration of test automation within the CI/CD pipeline
  • Identify and document bugs, ensuring that all issues are addressed in a timely manner
  • Analyze test results, troubleshoot failures, and work with development teams to ensure quality
  • Develop test strategies and plans for both functional and non-functional requirements
  • Continuously optimize test automation for maximum efficiency and coverage
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in automation testing

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with cloud-based testing environments and tools (e.g., AWS, Azure)
  • Knowledge of performance and security testing
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment
  • Experience with ClickHouse
