Your focus will be on testing new features and automation efforts, aligning with business requirements. You will execute manual and automated tests, develop comprehensive test cases, collaborate with various teams, assist in troubleshooting defects, prioritize testing activities, utilize automation tools, maintain test documentation, participate in team meetings, and stay informed on QA best practices. This position offers a target salary of $90,750, comprehensive medical benefits (100% paid for the employee), 401k matching, equity options, unlimited PTO, company holidays, and wellness initiatives.
Requirements
- BS/MS in Computer Science or 2+ years of equivalent experience
- 1+ yearsβ experience in software quality assurance or related technical role
- Strong knowledge of software testing principles and best practices
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies
- Passion for quality assurance, continuous learning and improving
Responsibilities
- Execute manual and automated test cases to clearly and effectively identify, document, and report software defects using designated tools
- Develop comprehensive test cases and scripts according to established company practices
- Collaborate closely with Developers, Product Managers, and Designers to gather and analyze project requirements, ensuring the testability of new features
- Assist in triaging, troubleshooting, and resolving customer-reported defects in partnership with Customer Support, Product Managers, and Developers
- Prioritize testing activities to ensure deadlines and project deliverables are consistently met
- Utilize automation tools (e.g., Cypress, Selenium) to enhance testing efficiency
- Help maintain up-to-date test documentation and manage testing environments
- Actively participate in team meetings and collaborative quality assurance initiatives
- Stay informed on QA best practices and emerging trends in testing methodologies, sharing relevant insights with the team
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with programming or scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript, TypeScript, C#, Java) is a plus
- Exposure to testing automation tools (e.g., Cypress, Selenium) is a plus
- Experience with SaaS or cloud-based software products is a plus
