Requirements

  • Bachelor/Masters degree from Electrical/Electronics/Computer science preferred with 5+ years of experience in Reliability/Memory design/system engineering
  • Experience in storage platform design/characterization
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong team player who can collaborate with colleagues

Responsibilities

  • Understanding platform specifications and requirements
  • Perform platform analysis and verification from product definition and planning through production and release
  • Perform platform reliability prediction (MTBF), reliability growth assessment, and derating analysis
  • Develop HASS/HALT methods and procedures for platforms products
  • Evaluates, from a reliability standpoint, the materials, properties, and techniques used in production
  • Determines reliability requirements of components and systems to achieve company, customer, and any governmental agency reliability objectives
  • May propose changes in design or formulation to improve system and/or process reliability
  • Understanding platform level behavior characterizations
  • Participate in cross functional meetings such as with memory, firmware and product line teams to develop flash storage products
  • Knowledge on the PLC process of a product
  • Provides feedback on new system features for next generation platform developments
  • Participate in RCA, 8D, process improvements
  • Understanding of manufacturing operations and product/test engineering flow
  • Making sure product is meeting the reliability and quality spec

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Semiconductor physics and Computer Architecture
  • Knowledge on factory operations and Agile methodology
  • Experience in platforms reliability and testing
