QA Specialist II

Summary

Join our team as a QA Spec II to manage the Army Reserve TPU/IMA/IRR Soldier pay program, establish military pay policy and procedures, and provide pay support to all Army Reserve units. The chosen candidate will have a strong background in US Army Finance operations and experience with SQL logic.

Requirements

• 2 years experience in the role of QA
• Must have a Secret Clearance
• Gather requirements from the field to reverse engineer current practices and assist with new solution software development
• Ability to create and run SQL queries to test and troubleshoot software
• Collaborate with Product Management and Development teams to understand product requirements and participate in design reviews to ensure testability and quality
• Possess knowledge of or can learn the Microsoft SQL Server technology and tools, as well as be able to use the T-SQL language to fashion queries for testing purposes
• Possess knowledge of or can learn project planning and tracking using Jira as a management tool

Responsibilities

• Work with the team as there QA person to ensure good development, processes, reports, processes, and assist where needed
• Design reports, test scripts, and SQL queries to support QA and user acceptance testing
• Ensure software designs and solutions meet business requirements
• Analyze and determine information needs such as input and output files, reporting, data/process flow, and user interface requirements
• Tests designed applications
• Can develop and execute comprehensive test plans, cases, and scripts, to ensure quality and reliability of software
• Document and maintain test cases, test data, and testing artifacts to ensure traceability and knowledge sharing across teams
• Conduct both manual and automated functional, performance, integration and user acceptance testing to validate product functionality, stability, and scalability
• Document software defects and issues and work with Development teams to facilitate their resolution

Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in quality assurance, and contribute to the adoption of new tools and approaches to improve testing processes
