QA Tester

Summary

Join Salvo Software's remote Web team as a detail-oriented and proactive QA Tester. You will collaborate with our development team to test and validate web applications built using JavaScript and TypeScript. Key responsibilities include designing and executing test plans, performing manual and automated testing, identifying and tracking bugs, and collaborating with team members to improve testing processes. You will ensure applications function smoothly across various browsers and platforms. Your work will be critical in maintaining the high quality of our products and delivering an optimal user experience. This role requires significant experience in QA testing, specifically with web-based applications and relevant technologies.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a QA Tester, preferably with web-based applications
• Familiarity with JavaScript and TypeScript-based projects
• Experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress)
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and development practices
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative remote team
• Excellent communication and documentation skills

Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and document test plans, cases, and scripts for web applications developed using JavaScript and TypeScript
• Perform manual and automated testing, ensuring comprehensive test coverage
• Identify, log, and track bugs and issues through the development cycle
• Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other QA team members to improve testing processes and product quality
• Conduct regression, functional, and exploratory testing
• Ensure applications work across multiple browsers, devices, and platforms
• Create and maintain detailed documentation of test results and procedures
• Assist in the creation of automated testing frameworks and scripts for efficient testing

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with performance and load testing tools
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control (e.g., Git)
• Knowledge of various testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Mocha, Chai)
