Summary
Join Khan Academy as a Quality Analyst II and help ensure the quality and reliability of our new Interim Assessment products. This 18-month fellowship is a full-time opportunity with full benefits. Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in a Quality Assurance or Quality Analyst role on a web product team
- Proven ability to design and maintain structured manual test plans aligned with product and business goals
- Passion for the details and a hunger for learning and exploring โ skilled at identifying test gaps and edge cases early in the process
- Experience with test management and documentation tools like Xray, Jira, and Confluence
- Familiarity with agile development practices, including sprint planning, standups, and backlog refinement
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to collaborate effectively across remote, cross-functional teams
- Proven cross-cultural competency skills demonstrating self-awareness, awareness of other, and the ability to adopt inclusive perspectives, attitudes, and behaviors to drive inclusion and belonging throughout the organization

Responsibilities
- Translate user stories and technical requirements into manual test plans, covering happy paths, edge cases, and regression scenarios
- Perform regression testing and release validation of critical workflows to ensure product quality remains high as new features are introduced
- Use Xray to organize and track test cases, execution, and results
- Track, document, and communicate defects using Jira, articulating severity and reproduction steps clearly and working with cross-functional partners to triage and prioritize fixes
- Contribute to shared documentation in Confluence, supporting visibility and alignment across the team
- Participate in continuous improvement of team QA practices and processes
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working on educational products or platforms
- Exposure to testing and validating AI-enhanced features
- Experience with accessibility testing, standards and guidelines
