Summary

Join our team as a Quality/Test Engineer for a 3-6 month contract on the 'Traveler Information of the Future' project. This project focuses on enhancing the reliability and usability of traveler information systems at train stations. You will plan and execute tests, coordinate test processes, document results using tools like JIRA and Confluence, and collaborate with developers. The role is primarily remote, with occasional on-site visits in Germany. Experience in test methodologies, agile project management, and cloud-native software testing is required. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of relevant practical experience in: Test methodology, scope, and procedure conception. Execution of technical and professional tests in software development
  • Proven practical experience with tools such as JIRA, Xray, Confluence, and others in agile project management
  • Familiarity with testing cloud-native software systems and microservice architectures
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in large IT development projects with agile methodologies (e.g., SCRUM)
  • Strong analytical skills for identifying and addressing defects in software systems
  • Proficiency in tools such as OpenSearch, AppSmith, MS Excel, and PowerPoint (including Think Cell)
  • Knowledge of transport and logistics, particularly in the passenger transport domain
  • Excellent communication skills in German, both verbal and written, for interacting with stakeholders and documenting findings

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute technical and professional tests for traveler information systems
  • Coordinate test processes, including methodology definition, scope determination, and procedure development
  • Document and evaluate test results using IT tools like JIRA, Confluence, and IRIS+
  • Collaborate with developers and project staff to ensure test readiness and defect tracking
  • Prepare and present test outcomes to management and stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

Methodological knowledge in project management frameworks (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP, or IPMA certification)
