Quality Control Inspector

Join Xometry, a leading digital marketplace connecting manufacturers and buyers, as a Quality Assurance (VQC) Engineer. You will play a vital role in supporting our rapid customer growth by improving Virtual Quality Control inspection processes. This position requires strong problem-solving skills and effective communication in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team environment. Daily tasks involve conducting virtual inspections, reviewing documents and photos, and managing rework with internal and external resources. The ideal candidate possesses extensive experience in dimensional inspection, GD&T, and manufacturing processes. Requirements

• Clearly communicate - read, write, and speak English (B2-C1)
• Possess a minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent
• Have a minimum of 5 years of experience dimensionally inspecting manufactured products
• Have a minimum of 2 years of experience working with General Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Be able to read/interpret mechanical drawings, including assembly drawings
• Possess working knowledge and/or education, skills, and experience associated with manufacturing processes
• Be capable of interpreting and developing Dimensional Inspection Reports
• Be a self-starter who works diligently to complete tasks in a timely manner
• Possess strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a dynamic environment
• Have the minimum ability to work part of the day in the Eastern Time Zone (UTC -4)

• Have good communication skills

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections by conducting Virtual Quality Control inspections by reviewing all the required documents and photos uploaded into the Xometry Partner Portal and ERP
• Inspect a range of jobs, from high-mix low-volume to full-rate production
• Follow clearly written procedures, treating Partners as external Customers
• Work closely with Case Management, Partner Support, and MRB to manage rework through internal and external resources
• Ensure quick turnaround time for rework
• Interact with DFM Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Control, Case Management, and the Supply Chain (Partner) while supporting Xometry Partners (Contract Manufacturers) Network
• Effectively communicate in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team environment at all levels

Preferred Qualifications

• Be familiar with Salesforce, High QA, SolidWorks, ASANA, and Google Suite
• Have previous remote work experience
